"Niedersachsen Aviation" is the state's initiative to support the aerospace industry in Lower Saxony. The aim of the initiative is to ensure and strengthen the competitiveness of Lower Saxony and Northern Germany. Therefore, "Niedersachsen Aviation" promotes the national and international profile of Lower Saxony as an aviation location and implements new strategies and measures to support the aerospace industry.
With specific measures in the areas of technology transfer, innovation, location development and settlement, the strengths of the aerospace industry are to be further developed by Niedersachsen Aviation. In addition, the state initiative also aims at an active transfer of technology and knowledge to other areas of the mobility industry. The focus of the activities is the benefit for companies. To this end, the initiative offers a broad service portfolio in the areas of network management, project management, information and public relations. As a central contact for business, politics and the public, Niedersachsen Aviation develops and accompanies forward-looking projects for the aerospace location of Lower Saxony.
The initiative sees itself as a basis and communication platform, which serves as the foundation for successful work and projects. Partners of the initiative are numerous companies, associations and research institutes in Lower Saxony. Trade fair participations, workshops and working groups serve to promote the aerospace location of Lower Saxony.
LNC has been running the state initiative on behalf of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labor, Transport and Digitization since the end of 2008 and operates the Hannover office. Until mid-2019 the implementation was carried out as consortium leader. On July 01, 2019 LNC was awarded the sole contract for the continuation of the state initiative.
