The "Logistics Alliance Germany" (LAG) is a public-private partnership project between the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and the German logistics industry. The German logistics industry has joined forces in a special development association.
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen Germany as a logistics location in target markets outside the European Union and to generate new transport, logistics and consulting contracts for the German logistics industry. The LAG acts as a central information and contact point for companies from Germany and abroad looking for competent partners from the German logistics industry. The range of tasks of the LAG thus includes the support of market entry to Europe via Germany as a gateway and hub for foreign shippers, support in the implementation of marketing and sales measures and the provision of knowledge about target markets.
The office of the LAG plans and implements marketing measures, such as trade fair appearances, delegation trips, road shows and specialist events in non-European countries, with the aim of promoting the German logistics industry and Germany as a logistics location. These activities are continuously coordinated in regular meetings with the federal and state governments and the private logistics industry.
On behalf of the BMVI, LNC runs the office of the LAG in Berlin, and on behalf of the "Förderverein Logistics Alliance Germany e.V.", the office of the association with its headquarters in Hanover.
